A full-time Carpenter position is available with KARMANSATKIRAT PTY LTD, undertaking residential and commercial construction projects throughout metropolitan Melbourne. The position involves carrying out a broad range of carpentry duties on active construction sites as part of an established construction team, under the supervision and direction of the Site Supervisor and Project Manager.

Task & responsibilities

Studying drawings, specifications, and work orders to determine materials requirements and installation procedures.
Measuring, cutting, shaping, and assembling timber, wood substitutes, and other building materials.
Constructing, erecting, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures such as frameworks, floors, walls, partitions, roofs, doors, and window frames.
Installing flooring systems, wall linings, cladding, and other structural and finishing components.
Erecting and dismantling form work and temporary structures used in construction projects.
Fitting and assembling prepared timber and other materials to form structures and fixtures.
Repairing and renovating existing structures, fittings, and fixtures as required.
Operating and maintaining hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery safely and effectively.
Inspecting completed work to ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and building regulations.
Coordinating with supervisors, builders, and other trades persons to ensure the timely completion of construction projects.
Maintaining a safe work environment and complying with workplace health and safety requirements.

Qualification & experience

Certificate III in Carpentry (or equivalent recognised qualification)
Minimum 1 year Experience as a Carpenter on commercial construction sites
Demonstrated experience with commercial work.
Current White Card (Construction Induction)
Current driver’s licence and reliable transport
Ability to read and work from construction drawings
Strong understanding of Australian construction standards and WHS requirements
Physically fit and able to perform manual labour for the duration of a full shift
