The OpportunityThe Contract Administrator will play a key role in coordinating contractual, commercial, and administrative aspects of development projects. Working closely with Project Managers, Architects, Engineering Consultants, Contractors, and Senior Management, the successful candidate will assist in ensuring projects are delivered efficiently, contractual obligations are met, and project objectives are achieved.This position is ideally suited to a professional with qualifications in Architecture, Project Management, Construction Management, Property Development, Engineering, or a related discipline who enjoys working in a fast-paced project environment.Key Duties and Responsibilities• Developing, reviewing and administering contracts, consultant agreements, subcontractor engagements, project schedules, and contract variations associated with residential and industrial development projects.• Reviewing project documentation, development plans, consultant deliverables and contractual requirements to ensure alignment with project objectives and contractual obligations.• Coordinating with Project Managers, Architects, Engineers, Surveyors, Contractors and Regulatory Authorities to facilitate project delivery and achieve project milestones.• Responding to contract-related enquiries and assisting in the resolution of contractual, administrative and project-related issues.• Managing project documentation, contract registers, procurement records, approvals, correspondence and compliance documentation.• Monitoring contractor performance, project deliverables and contractual obligations throughout the project lifecycle.• Reviewing and processing contract variations, progress claims, work orders and supporting project documentation.• Preparing procurement documentation, tender evaluations, contract recommendations, management submissions and project reports.• Collecting, analysing and reporting project data relating to costs, timelines, risks, contractor performance and project outcomes.• Assisting senior management by identifying matters requiring attention and implementing approved commercial and operational decisions.• Coordinating project meetings, preparing agendas and minutes, monitoring action items and maintaining communication records.• Supporting planning, design and construction phases by ensuring contractual requirements, project documentation and stakeholder obligations are appropriately managed.• Assisting with operational requirements including office accommodation reviews, business systems improvements and administrative process enhancements where required.Skills and Experience• Diploma, Advance Diploma or higher qualification in Building and Construction Management, Property Development, Architecture, Engineering or a related discipline.• At least 1 year demonstrated experience in contract administration, project administration, construction, property development or a related environment.• Strong understanding of contract administration principles, procurement processes and project documentation.• Excellent organisational and stakeholder management skills with strong attention to detail.• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including report preparation and professional correspondence.• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively within a deadline-driven environment.Why Join Delcara?This is an opportunity to join a growing property development company delivering a diverse portfolio of residential and industrial projects throughout Southeast Queensland.You will work alongside experienced industry professionals and contribute to the successful delivery of projects from concept through to completion while further developing your commercial, project management and contract administration expertise.To apply, please submit your resume and cover letter outlining your relevant experience and suitability for the position.

The Contract Administrator is responsible for the administration and management of construction contracts across commercial and industrial projects. The role focuses on contract compliance, commercial management, procurement, and cost control to ensure projects are delivered in accordance with contractual obligations, budget, and agreed timelines.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Administer head contracts and subcontracts in accordance with project requirements and contractual obligations&nbsp;</li><li>Prepare, review, and interpret contract documentation, including scopes of work, terms, and conditions&nbsp;</li><li>Manage contract variations, including assessment, pricing, negotiation, and formal documentation&nbsp;</li><li>Assess and process progress claims, payment schedules, and subcontractor claims in line with contractual requirements&nbsp;</li><li>Monitor project costs against budgets and forecasts, identifying and reporting on variances&nbsp;</li><li>Support procurement processes including preparation of tender packages, evaluation of subcontractor submissions, and recommendation for award&nbsp;</li><li>Maintain accurate and up-to-date contract records, registers, and project documentation&nbsp;</li><li>Liaise with project managers, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure compliance with contractual obligations&nbsp;</li><li>Identify and manage commercial risks and contractual issues, including delays, claims, and disputes&nbsp;</li><li>Assist in the preparation of cost reports, cash flow forecasts, and financial tracking documentation&nbsp;</li><li>Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, codes, and Australian standards relating to construction contracts&nbsp;</li></ul>Core Duties (Directly Aligned to ANZSCO 511111)<ul><li>Analysing, preparing, reviewing, and negotiating contracts and variations&nbsp;</li><li>Monitoring contract performance and ensuring compliance with agreed terms and conditions&nbsp;</li><li>Managing contract documentation and maintaining accurate records&nbsp;</li><li>Advising internal stakeholders on contractual matters, risks, and obligations&nbsp;</li><li>Resolving contractual issues including claims, delays, and variations&nbsp;</li></ul>Qualifications &amp; Experience<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree or higher in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or related discipline&nbsp;</li><li>Minimum 3 years full-time, relevant post-qualification experience as a Contract Administrator or in a closely related role&nbsp;</li><li>Demonstrated experience working for a head contractor on commercial and/or industrial construction projects&nbsp;</li><li>Proven experience in contract administration, cost control, and procurement processes&nbsp;</li></ul>Reporting LineReports to Commercial Manager or Project ManagerWork EnvironmentPrimarily office-based with regular interaction with project teams, consultants, and subcontractors across active construction sites
