Carpenter (Full-Time)

*About the Role*

The successful applicant will be responsible for carrying out a wide range of carpentry tasks across residential and commercial construction projects while ensuring compliance with Australian building standards and workplace health and safety requirements.

*Key Responsibility *

Study drawings, specifications and work orders to determine materials, dimensions and installation requirements.

Measure, mark and cut timber, wood-based products and other materials according to project specifications.

Construct, install and repair frameworks, partitions, walls, floors, ceilings, roofs and other building structures.

Install doors, windows, cabinetry, skirting boards, architraves and other fixtures and fittings.

Assemble and erect formwork and framework structures for construction projects.

Carry out renovations, alterations and maintenance carpentry works.

Ensure all carpentry work is completed in accordance with building plans, Australian Standards and workplace safety regulations.

Operate and maintain carpentry tools, machinery and equipment safely and efficiently.

Work collaboratively with supervisors, subcontractors and other trades to ensure projects are completed on time and to a high standard.

Inspect completed work to ensure quality and compliance requirements are met. 

*Skills and Experience*

To be considered for this position, applicants should possess:

Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent trade qualification.

Relevant carpentry experience.

Ability to interpret and work from plans, drawings and specifications.

Sound knowledge of construction methods, materials and workplace safety requirements.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Current White Card.

Current driver's licence preferred.
