Solid Plasterer

The Solid Plasterer will carry out rendering and plastering work on a variety of surfaces and structures, ensuring projects are completed to a high standard and in accordance with construction specifications and safety requirements.

Task & responsibilities

• Applying coats of plaster, cement render and other finishing materials to walls, ceilings and surfaces

• Preparing surfaces by cleaning, levelling and applying bonding agents where required

• Mixing plastering materials to the appropriate consistency for application

• Installing decorative and protective finishes to internal and external surfaces

• Repairing cracks, damaged plaster and uneven surfaces

• Measuring, marking and cutting materials to project specifications

• Using hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently

• Reading and interpreting construction plans and technical drawings

• Erecting and working from ladders and scaffolding when required

• Maintaining a clean and safe work environment in compliance with workplace health and safety procedures

• Coordinating with supervisors, contractors and other trades on site

Qualification & experience

Certificate III in Solid Plastering or a closely related qualification

At least 12 months of relevant full time work experience as a Solid Plasterer

Strong knowledge of rendering techniques, plastering materials and surface preparation

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Good attention to detail and commitment to high quality workmanship

Ability to work efficiently within project deadlines
