Carpenter & Joiner

Ryox Carpentry & Building Solutions is looking for a full time Carpenter & Joiner to join their team. 

The role is primarily focused on residential carpentry projects, including new builds, renovations and fit-out works, with occasional involvement in small-scale commercial projects

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Interpret architectural drawings, plans and specifications to determine material requirements, dimensions and installation methods for residential carpentry works 
• Carry out structural carpentry including construction and installation of wall frames, sub-floor systems, roofing components and timber frameworks across residential building projects 
• Perform first fix and second fix carpentry works, including installation of door frames, windows, skirting boards, architraves and other finishing elements to a high standard 
• Measure, cut, shape and assemble timber and other materials using hand and power tools to ensure accuracy, alignment and compliance with project specifications 
• Install joinery, fixtures and fittings such as cabinetry components, stair elements and prefabricated structures in accordance with design and quality requirements 
• Undertake repair, renovation and rectification works to existing structures and fittings, ensuring minimal disruption and adherence to safety standards 
• Coordinate with site supervisors and other trades to ensure works are completed efficiently, within timeframes and in line with WHS and construction standards

Skills and Experience

• Trade qualification in Carpentry and Joinery or equivalent work experience
• Min 1 year of carpentry & joinery work experience, including experience in residential construction, including framing and fit-out work
• Ability to read and interpret plans and technical drawings accurately
• Strong attention to detail, particularly in finishing and installation work
• Competent in the use of hand and power tools in a construction environment
• Good understanding of safe work practices in line with Australian WHS requirements
