Carpenter & Joiner

Ryox Carpentry is hiring a Carpenter & Joiner for a full time ongoin position.

The Carpenter & Joiner will be responsible for carrying out a wide range of carpentry and joinery tasks across active construction sites. The role involves working closely with other trades to ensure installations are completed to specification, within timeframes, and to Ryox’s quality standards.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Review and interpret construction drawings and specifications to plan carpentry works and ensure correct materials and measurements are applied
• Carry out structural carpentry including framing of walls, floors and roofing components across residential projects
• Perform first fix and second fix works, ensuring accurate positioning and secure installation of structural and finishing elements
• Construct, assemble and install timber fittings such as doors, window frames, skirting, architraves and stair components within apartment units
• Measure, cut and shape timber and other materials to achieve precise alignment and a high standard of finis
• Install prefabricated structures and fittings, ensuring compliance with project specifications and quality requirements
• Undertake repair and rectification works, including removal and replacement of defective or damaged structures, while maintaining safe work practices

Skills and Experience

• Trade qualification in Carpentry and Joinery or equivalent work experience
• Min 1 year of carpentry & joinery work experience, including experience in residential construction, including framing and fit-out work
• Ability to read and interpret plans and technical drawings accurately
• Strong attention to detail, particularly in finishing and installation work
• Competent in the use of hand and power tools in a construction environment
• Good understanding of safe work practices in line with Australian WHS requirements
