Construction Project Manager

As a Construction Project Manager, you will take full ownership of projects from pre-construction through to handover, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards. You will work closely with internal teams, consultants, and subcontractors while maintaining strong client relationships.

Task & responsibilities

• Ensure all construction activities are completed in a safe and environmentally acceptable manner 
• Manage the workforce to maximise efficiency and minimise downtime 
• Assist the Project Manager in procuring materials and subcontractors in a timely manner 
• Ensure that the Project Management Plan is adhered to 
• Liaise with the Construction Supervisor to ensure adequate plant and labour resources are available for the project 
• Ensure daily costing is accurate, timely and complete 
• Ensure compliance to legislative requirements 
• Manage Supervisors and associated site resources 
• Manage construction activities to comply with the project programme 
• Monitor and manage project timelines, costs, quality and risks
• Manage construction activities 
• Liaise with stakeholders to ensure project alignment and goals are met.
• Undertake toolbox meetings and complete pre-start checklists 
• Liaise with the client or the client's representative 
• Be proactive in the improvement of the CBOP Management System 
• Work safely and ensure all site personnel work safely and in accordance with the Project Management Plan, CBOP Operating Procedures, and Safe Work Method Statements

Qualification & experience

• Proven 10+ years’ experience supervising commercial construction projects within the building industry
• Demonstrated excellent leadership, work ethic and communication skills 
• Risk Management capability
• In depth knowledge of engineering construction activities 
• Ability to work with client and supplier representatives
