Carpenter – United Precast Pty Ltd (Ottoway, SA)

United Precast Pty Ltd is looking for a  Carpenter who will construct, assemble, and prepare formwork and moulds used in the manufacture of precast concrete elements, working from technical drawings and production specifications. The role supports both factory production and onsite installation of precast panels, beams, columns, stairs, and other structural components, ensuring all work meets quality, safety, and project requirements.

Task & responsibilities

•     Construct, assemble and install formwork for precast concrete elements

•     Measure, cut and shape timber and other materials with accuracy

•     Read and interpret technical drawings, plans and specifications

•     Set out work areas and prepare materials and tools required for production

•     Build, fit and secure formwork, frames, moulds and temporary structures

•     Assist in the installation of precast panels, beams, columns, stairs and other components

•     Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently

•     Check completed work for accuracy, quality and compliance with specifications

•     Work collaboratively with production, engineering and installation teams

•     Follow all WHS procedures and maintain a clean and safe work environment

Qualification & experience

•     Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent

•     Proven carpentry experience (precast experience highly regarded)

•     Ability to read and interpret plans

•     Strong understanding of safe work practices

•     Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a team environment
