The Opportunity
Mor Construction is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Master Bricklayer to support the delivery of residential construction projects across Perth. This position requires advanced trade expertise, leadership capability, and a strong understanding of structural masonry and construction standards.
The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality brick and block work while supervising and coordinating bricklaying activities on site to ensure compliance with plans, engineering specifications, and safety requirements.

Task & responsibilities
Roles and Responsibilities
- Lay bricks, blocks, and other masonry materials to construct and repair walls, partitions, arches, retaining walls, and structural components
- Interpret and work from detailed construction drawings, plans, and engineering specifications
- Set out works to ensure correct alignment, levels, and structural tolerances
- Apply mortar, damp-proof courses, reinforcement, and moisture-resistant materials in accordance with building standards
- Cut, shape, and finish bricks and blocks using hand and power tools
- Construct footings, load-bearing walls, and feature masonry structures
- Supervise and coordinate bricklaying teams and apprentices to ensure efficient workflow
- Monitor workmanship quality and ensure compliance with building codes and safety regulations
- Identify and resolve on-site construction issues in consultation with site supervisors
- Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant work environment in accordance with workplace health and safety requirements
Qualification & experience
Qualifications and Experience
- AQF Certificate III in Bricklaying/Blocklaying or equivalent qualification
- Minimum 3–5 years of relevant post-qualification experience
- Demonstrated experience in residential construction projects
- Strong ability to interpret plans and technical specifications
- Proven supervisory or team leadership experience
- Construction White Card
- Valid driver’s licence
