Job Title: Fire Protection Plumber
Job Summary:
We are looking for a dedicated Fire Protection Plumber specializing in the Fire Industry. This role specializes in installing, maintaining, and repairing fire suppression systems, including sprinklers, fire hydrants, and other critical fire protection infrastructure. This role involves ensuring that all water-based fire safety systems are compliant with industry standards and local regulations, functioning efficiently to protect properties and lives in the event of a fire.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Analyze blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout, materials, and equipment needed for installing water-based fire protection systems.
2. Set out, assemble, and install water-based fire protection systems, including fire hydrants, hose reels, and sprinkler systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.
3. Perform regular inspections, maintenance, and emergency repairs on fire suppression systems to ensure they are functioning efficiently and meet industry standards.
4. Fabricate and install pipes for water supply systems, discharge pipes, and waste stacks, ensuring a reliable water supply for fire protection systems.
5. Test and troubleshoot fire protection systems, identifying and resolving issues to maintain optimal operation and safety.
6. Ensure that all installations and repairs are carried out in accordance with local regulations, safety standards, and building codes specific to fire protection.
7. Work closely with other trades and professionals, such as engineers and construction teams, to integrate fire protection systems seamlessly into buildings.
8. Maintain accurate records of installations, inspections, and repairs, providing detailed reports to clients and regulatory bodies as required.
Requirements:
1. A Certificate III or IV in Plumbing.
2. A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar role.
3. Strong knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and regulations related to fire protection systems.
4. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills, with a well-developed capacity for analysis and understanding of scientific and engineering principles.
5. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team of professionals, tradespersons, clients, and stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment, as well as independently with minimal supervision.
6. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively under pressure.
7. A strong commitment to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
8. Ability to obtain plumbing license
Salary Range- $80000 - $90,000 per year
