Is seeking skilled and qualified Painter (Painting Trades Worker) to join our company in Royal Park 5014. The ideal candidates should have hands on experience in the painting sector of the construction field in both residential and commercial buildings

1 Position:  Painter

Salary: $78,000 - 80,000 plus superannuation

Hours: 38 per week

Type: Full-time

Applicant should possess :

• Minimum Certificate III in Painting and Decorating
• Minimum 1 year experience as a Painter.
• Strong experience with painting in all sort of buildings.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving skills.

Key duties and responsibilities : 

• Carefully choosing and getting paints ready in the right colors by mixing different things like pigments, oil, and additives.
• Setting up ladders and scaffolding safely and using cover sheets to keep nearby areas clean from paint splashes.
• Putting on paint, varnish, wallpaper, and other coatings to make buildings and structures look nice and protect them.
• Hanging wallpaper with attention to matching patterns and cutting off extra parts neatly.
• Getting surfaces ready by taking off old paint and wallpaper, fixing wood, filling in holes and cracks, and making sure the surfaces are smooth and sealed.
• Applying paints, varnishes, and stains to surfaces with care, using brushes, rollers, and sprayers.
• Keeping the work area clean and organised, including cleaning tools and equipment.
• Apply final coat of paint as and where required.
• Secure the painting area from any damage by laying drop sheets, plastic sheets to protect adjacent areas from paint splattering and applying masking tape around the windows and glass.
• Secure all the openings and spaces between the doors to avoid dust coming and going out.
• Preparing the site for painting by cleaning, sanding, and removing the old paint and wallpapers where required.
